Implementation Masterclass | Term 4: Launch
Term 4 of the HIFIS 4 Implementation Masterclass is all about getting ready to launch and planning for what comes afterward.
This term does not cover HIFIS configuration at all; at this point in the course students have learned everything they need to know about the HIFIS software. Instead, this term covers the final phases of the System Development Life Cycle: Testing, Implementation, and Maintenance.
Target Audience
At the start of this course, we assume that you:
- Have a server set up to host HIFIS and are ready to use it
- Have all your legal agreements in place
- Have made all the decisions about configuring your software
- Know exactly who needs to be using HIFIS, where they work, and what their jobs are
- Have a launch date in mind
- Are at least 4 weeks from your planned launch date
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, you will:
- Know exactly how and when you will be launching HIFIS 4
- Have a training plan in place
- Have learned about data quality and will know how to create a data quality plan
- Have a plan to support HIFIS 4 post-implementation
- Understand how to update your software and what the impacts could be
- Know how to handle bugs and change requests
- Be ready to launch!
This week, we'll be covering the launch itself. You'll learn everything you need to in order to plan for a launch date, and to think about what to do with your current (soon-to-be-old) data.
This week, we focus on managing your users and making sure your staff are trained.
This week's topic is managing changes, issues and bugs, and software updates.
The last topic we want to officially cover is how to make sure your data quality is high.
