Live seminars and coaching (Tiers 2 and 3 only).
The HIFIS Administration Masterclass can be purchased as a bundle which includes the following courses:
Clients are what HIFIS refers to as service recipients. Any person you provide assistance to at your service provider is called a Client in HIFIS. Pulling up a client file will allow you to access information about them, ranging from their contact information to the services they've received.
Consent is the real fundamental building block to protecting our clients' privacy: do we enter a client into HIFIS at all? Have they given us permission to collect any information about them?
In this section, we're focusing on controlling who has access to a given client file at all.
Clients are considered Active when they have recently interacted with your service delivery system, and Inactive when they haven’t had a recent interaction. This helps us to understand which clients are currently homeless.
A client’s Housing Status tells us whether they are currently housed, homeless, or something else. It’s one of the most important data elements we have about clients.
By combining the elements already covered in this class, we can arrive at our By-Name List: a list of clients who are actively experiencing homelessness and consenting to participate in coordinated access.
In this section, we're going to cover personal information, which is the sort of information we might be asking our clients for on an intake form.
